This week our new CoMo Cooks Shared Kitchen opened back up to clients!
We now have a 3200 square foot street-level space at 14 Business Loop 70 East with enough room for both our office and a permanent kitchen. The expanded kitchen has multiple cooking bays, a baking section, a production kitchen, food truck access, and even space for pop-ups. In other words, it's perfect for local startup businesses.
This shared commercial kitchen is a catalytic project for The Loop. By giving people an easy and affordable option to start or expand their food-based businesses, we can add another layer of economic activity to the street. Our clients are cooking up tacos, birria, arepas, biscuits, cookies, gooey butter cakes, hot dogs and hamburgers, and more. From established food trucks to start-up food businesses, we're thrilled to provide an affordable kitchen to some great local chefs. The Loop CID Board has shown amazing dedication to this kitchen project and we couldn't have done it without assistance from the City of Columbia, the State of Missouri, and countless other supporters.
